Emergencies happen to all of us. Sometimes it only takes an illness, car repair or job loss to put a family in a position of need. But NAM is here to help.
The Joanne Watford Nutrition Center is a choice food pantry that operates much like a grocery store. Clients choose their own food from designated categories, including fresh produce, meat, dairy and frozen items. Through the Senior Food Program, low-income seniors also receive supplemental groceries each month.
In fiscal year 2014-15, the JWNC served:
- 17,842 people by providing fresh, frozen, and non-perishable groceries for well-balanced meals.
- 125 low income seniors with supplemental groceries each month through the Senior Food Program.
- 1,250 families with holiday meals.
The JWNC gratefully receives donations from area grocery stores, congregations, businesses, schools, community groups, and individuals. To learn more about donating food, please click on the link below.
