Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) is hosting its annual Shot Blitz vaccination drive August 16 – 18 and August 22 – 24. This initiative provides children with back-to-school immunizations required to start the school year.
Immunizations are available to children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Regardless of how many shots are needed, the cost to participate is $10 per child—cash only. Parents must provide all of their child’s immunization records. Appointments are not required. If you have questions about whether your child needs an immunization or a tuberculosis test, please call the Health Department or check with your school nurse.
Only uninsured or Medicaid patients will be accepted during Shot Blitz. All others, should contact their Primary Care Physician or call the Harris County Health Department at (281) 447-2800.
Along with assistance from the Cypress Woodlands Junior Forum, Shot Blitz will take place at The Children’s Clinic at NAM at 15555 Kuykendahl Road, Houston, 77090.
