NAM Loves Its Volunteers!
NAM could not do what it does without volunteers. It’s as simple as that.
More than 2,000 people serve NAM on a regular basis. They are young and old, Girl Scouts and engineers, young moms and great-grandfathers. They bring experiences and expertise as varied as the world around us, and put those skills to work in hundreds of roles.
There’s a place for you at NAM as well. You have a unique contribution to make, because no one else has your same blend of experiences, skills, and personality. No one else is you.
If you feel the tug and would like to get involved, please give us a call. We would love to explore the unique ways you can extend help to a neighbor in a way they will remember forever.
NAM Clients/Volunteer Eligibility
If you have been a client in the following NAM programs, you may volunteer 12 months after your last assistance is received: Assistance, Food Pantry, Shelter/Energy Assistance, Family Violence Center, Interfaith Hospitality Network/FIT, Meals on Wheels, Children’s Clinic and/or Rotary Learning/Workforce Development Program.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to work independently on NAM property. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or appointed guardian if working on NAM property.
Court-Ordered Community Service
Those who need to perform court ordered community service are not required to attend a NAM volunteer orientation. Instead, they should contact NAM’s Resale Shop and Donation Center at (281) 880-9000. Certain restrictions apply and you must be at least 18 years or older to participate in the program.
Many businesses and corporations have partnered with NAM in providing volunteers for our organization. If your business or corporation would like more information on how you can Be The Change the community needs to see through partnering with NAM’s Volunteer Coordinator at (281) 885-4604 or email@example.com.
